Clem,

I'll wait until the summer and get a 14000 from Jono, always providing I can get in front of the pack during the feeding frenzy. I've got a nice new custom Carpenter EP 85/36 in matching livery that it will fit nicely.

The reel will, of course, come to you first to be 'Henryized' before those brutes with fins try and tear it apart in Halaniyat in October.

hmmmm. The only one I have on order is a 5000 HG and the Shimano shop-in-shop dealer gave me nervous look and said "I hope you are not in a hurry".

On Alan Hawke's web site:
The 2008 Stella 8K and 10K spool will no longer be compatible with the new Stella 8K/10K/14K a change from previously stated.
All other 2008 & 2013 Stella spools are interchangeable.

I am guessing the last minute change is causing the delay in 14K delivery.

Curious why they did that.

Big relief 8)... my '08 10k SW spool & 16k SOM spool fits and holds drag.  The spool support washers are smaller on the 14k SWB.  Drag knobs are also interchangeable.  Line roller lines up top & bottom of the spools.

That's good news for all those with aftermarket spools.

That's also a rare reel. Is the 14000 in stock anywhere yet?

The local shop that I pre-ordered from brought in a bunch... all sold out the first day.  Another shop had 5k's, 6k's & 8k's in stock.  My guess is that the 14k's will be popping up in shops around the world any day now.
