Hi there...can anyone suggest any good tackle shops around Sydney?...I'll be stopping over there for 2 days on my way to Bali....Cheers for that ;D

What are you looking for? If you're looking for jigging or popping equipment, Sydney is a bit of a void. On the other hand, if you're looking for soft plastics or hardbodies for bream, it's pretty good!

Brandon...jigging and popping gears mostly...but also keen on to see lures or tackles that local shops have on display..... ;D

Sydney is a bit of a void when it comes to gear like that.I'd suggest that it really is not a worthwhile exercise.
If you just want to find a couple of tackle stores to wander around, there are a few decent sized stores but none in the city. There is a Compleat Angler in the city which is in the Dymocks Building on George Street but it is just a small store.
The closest decent sized store to the city is Otto's at Drummoyne.

There is also Fish Outta Water in the Mick Symonds shop opposite the QVB(next to the Hilton). They have a range of lures and equipment as well. More so than the Compleat Angler store. Other than that , you will need to start heading out a little bit from town.
Local stores have loads of soft plastics from small sized things for bream ( Im not a fan of bream and reckon they should be used for livebait!) , to larger plastics like shads and sluggos. Plenty of rapala diving minnows, poppers like halcos, metals like raiders and snipers.
Like Brandon said though, specialist popper/jigging is a niche and not easily found. If you have 2 days in Sydney, then I would go to those 2 shops in the city.
