Hi all i purchased this rod yesterday on ebay for a bargin price ive done abit of research on it but cant find the answer im looking for. How will this rod handle patriot masterd bomb 135 big cup and will a saltiga 7000 fit nicely on it? Also what would it be like compared to say fcl 81ext? As far as casting and popping? Any answers would be greatly appreciated.

You've got a strong brute PE10 rod there Sam......and it's an all rounder rod to use with poppers and stickbaits. I use a stella 18000 and sometimes a 20000 stella on this same rod, so using a Saltiga 7000 will be OK. Using the mastered bomb 135 cup at 135g will be just perfect.
This rod would be at a starting lure weight range of 100g stickbait at a minimum to say a gamma 160g excluding hooks, with a popper weight of about 150 - 160g but don't forget your porridge in the morning for energy !.
You'll probably cast further with the FCL 81ext.......still a brute of a rod though, hang on tight.
