hi everyone
I saw the new shimano ocojigpe5 rod couple days ago. it looks really good. it come with Fuji K guide and alps reel seat. I think it's Pe4-Pe6. jig weight is 200-400g. And the price is only $320. it's going to match with 8000 stella.

just wondering, is that anyone get any comment and experience with this rod.
or do u guys have any other recommendations? this rod is going to be for my wife. so I want a light weight rod for her.

Hi...
I had never heard of that rod until this post.
The OCOJIGPE5 looks and sounds nice.
I am in the market also. You should get this and let me know what it is like :-)

I have an "Ocea" rod.
It's around 7ft and I use it for snapper.
It's light and I like the action of the rod.
I dislike the reel seat. It loosens easily- (I don't use tools to snug them down),
and the grooves on top aren't comfortable on the fingers if you hold the rod around the reel stem as I do.
Just my 2cents.

If it has a alps reel seat I'd be looking elsewhere. Fuji graphite reel seats are the way to go

Hi Christoffer
What is ur bad experience with alps reel seat?

Too bulky, adds unnecessary weight to the rod and they constantly come loose even with the lock ring. Do u see any top Japanese brands use anything but Fuji components. The reason is they're the best!
