Hi Christian
This is my favourite rod at the moment !.
I think they are designed as an offshore casting rod not a jig stick
I have been testing a small run of lures in the 60g-100g range,
This rod can cast outa sight with the right size lure on it.
Caught a Longtail tuna on it recently around 8kg & just for the hell of it I gave the poor fish no mercy to see just how much the rod had, well PE4 & 60lb leader landed that fish in less than 30 seconds flat...in the net , held it up for a photo & it proceded to beat the living daylights outa me for a further minute, I don't think I will bring a "green" fish into the boat again for a while :-[
I think at a pinch you could use it as a light jig stick if you wanted to jig up to 150g
Cheers Chris
