Guys seeking a bit of advice on a couple of things.
I get to Perth a fair bit for work and am keen to tangle with a few sambos this summer. Can anyone recommend a quality charter operation?
I am also keen to do a bit of jigging for kingies off the Gold Coast in my own rig. I have been given a few marks on the 36's and 50's.
I have also heard about the "kingy reef".
Would anyone have a mark for this reef to get me started??
Thanks

The legend over in those parts is Al Bevan. His operation is Shikari. I was out late last year with Saltwater Charters WA and they were good. Another option is Blue juice. The best time for Samsons seems to be from late December to end January. You will get fish in November and February though.

I don't think Al Bevan has a website but you contact Shikari on 0412 131958 or [email protected]

Thanks fellas
I have heard good things about Craig Warne at Saltwater so I will give him a call.
I understand that Al Bevan may be off line for a while due a family illness.

yes, Craig is excellent.
Hopefully Al will be back in the water before too long.

I would recommend Al Bevan for my first choice then Craig Warne From Saltwater Charters.
I myself would not go near bluejuice or mills. But thats just my opinion.

I agree with Rob.
And we both live in Perth, if that means anything ;)
Call Al, he'll be out but its whether he hasn't already been fully booked up!
Otherwise Craig serves a delicious breakfast...

Hi Mick Id look at using pe8 this minimizes fight times for a easy release and also when on charter boats its alot easier to stop tangles ect ect that happen with lighter lines.
