Title: Spools for Stella 5k SWB
Post by: Guy Durham on February 28, 2015, 03:26:29 PM
Hi,

Does anyone have any info on spare spools for Stella 5k?

I haven't located any aftermarket options yet, so just putting it out to see if anyone else has identified anything.

TIA

Guy

Do you want an aftermarket spool, a spare 5k spool, or a 6k spool for more capacity?

If it's the 5k swb, you can order directly from shimano or eBay and if it's the 2008 5k, you should find "spare 5&6k spools on eBay.

Can't help with aftermarket spools.

Thanks.

I'm after either/or really. Just option for carrying different line classes for the reel body

A shallow 5K spool is manufactured by Yumeya and the 6K spool will fit the 5K body.

Wasn't aware of the shallow option.

Did the 6k experiment yesterday at the local tackle shop. Just waiting on price & availability of compatible spools from Shimano now.
