The most important factor in Fiji is to ensure you have a period where there is a decent run (current). You get some very flat periods in Fiji and at these times, it is really hard work.

You will get better weather in the period from December to February but just remember it is cyclone season

Brandon is spot on. I went over with some mates earlier in the year and the lack of current made it hard to find any decent water where the GT might be holding. We did find fish in the last 2 days but my guess is it will only be better with more current.

Im heading back over in November with a mate who came on the last trip.

Good luck

How's the jigging out there during those months? If there's a lack of current near the shallow reefs inshore, does this affect the deeper reefs and seamounts as well offshore for jigging? Any info would be greatly appreciated!
