Title: Some action from the west side - Dampier WA
Post by: Jay Burgess on September 23, 2008, 12:58:03 PM: Good weather & good tides last weekend so we headed out to one of our prefered spots off Dampier. These were the two biggest caught for the morning before the bite shut down.

The land you can see in the background is an island so the land based access is via boat only. I would think that it would be quite difficult to land fish from the rocks.

That's my fishing partner Glenn, not myself. In my opinion and from what little use I've had with it it's not quite as smooth as the Salties/Stellas but is more than capabable of handling big fish. He hasn't had any problems with it so far.
