Which CARANX KAIBUTSU are u interested in? I have the long cast & I like it, but I've used better rods in similar price range.

-Xzoga Taka-Pi 7525 is a very good all around rod (GT, Tuna,....) max drag is 10 Kgs.

Now for reels, it really depends on your budget, I would say any Shimano Stella SW8000, SW10000, SW18000, SW20000 will do the job perfectly, But if you are looking for a good quality heavy duty reel with only half the price of Shimano, Daiwa or Accurate prices take a look at this:
