Ripple fisher gt79h

Hello every one I'm only knew to this web site I got to say best web sight for popper fishing I have seen . Ok my question is about my knew rod I just purchased ripple fisher gt79h I would like to know what the max recomended drag would be as it's not stated on the rod and also what would be the biggest cubera popper that it could work effectivly?

i own 1 and find it can work a 180grams cubera popper pretty well  :)

Hi Vasko,

I love my 79H !  Works well with poppers from 140gm up to the 220gm+.  Works I-Cups with no problems.  Max drag - go with what you are comfortable with - the rod can take a lot.  As with all rods stay clear of high sticking !  For such a powerful rod I don't think it's too hard on the angler either.  Great choice.  Hope you catch a monster.

Thanks for reply so 15kg drag should be ok as long as no hi sticking  almost sold the rod not long ago glad I didn't
