Popper, Stickbait Recommendation
July 06, 2010, 10:54:07 PM
Hi folks

Heading to Exmouth in September for a shore based fish, any "must have" stickbaits and poppers anyone would recommend? I'll be fishing 80lb and weights to 150g.

All advice is most appreciated.

Cheers
Clayton

Hey mate,

If you wanna keep your self on a low budget then go some Halco Rooster Haymaker poppers,River2sea Dumbells but make sure you change over the trebles and upgrade to Owner ST-76 or singles such as Owner SJ-41 and Jobus..

Stick baits from River2sea such as the Doggie thats a sink version and a great lure all round, just seen pics of this lure with a 45kg GT caught in Fiji..Definetly holds up,once again change the trebles, same as the Rover 230,a topwater stickbait great for GTs,coral trouts or any Reef species..

If you wanna spend a bit more coin, poppers and stick baits from Fish head in QLD can sort you out, they have a great variety such as Full Scales,Jai poppers,Cuberas, patriots and a few more to mention...
