Went 4 for 6 onboard the Sea Beeze with Captain Ned Ashby and 1st mate George from Oregon inlet.
Basils had his 1st fish in the morning that taped out at 47". 30 seconds later i had mine on measuring 53", both were released as we know we will be getting the bigger boys:p Milton had a fish on too but his happiness lasted only for a minute when his knot slipped!!:mad: not acceptable at all!
4 hours later and after having only AJ's and false albies, we were wondering if we made the right move to release my fish.
Silver bellys started flashing later in the afternoon and all of us started casting, Sherman and Milton had explosions as soon as they're lure (gamma and crazy GT) hit the water. In a distant i saw a fishing rolling and immediately launch my TB lure 10 yards ahead of its direction, 'twitch' ZZZZzzzz and the reel screamed, fought and made my way to the back as i was casting from the bow. George stuck the gaff after 5mins and everyone heaved a sigh of release, we are not going back empty handed:D Ned was marking fish at 20 fathoms, Basils and George immediately drop their jigs and had a double hook up, George had his hook pulled and Basils was on, had it to boat side and George lip gaffed the fish and brought it up for some quick pics.
Saw the guys from Good Times beside us and was cool to see them getting hooked up from the bow
