Fishermen rods

What you guys thing of MonsterCC 72GT R10?
Cast ability and power of the rod

One thing I found annoying is the actual length of fishermen rods. They don't seem to be exact.

(can't find the old trend on these topic somehow)

Its a dream rod to fight a fish with but a dog to cast!
Don't feel too bad about the length - I got a 77R10 that is as long as my Wild Violence

You got more than you pay for Brandon  :)

It works out fine for what I wanted it for anyway, plus the other model ends up longer.
(one for short encounter and the other for distance)

Thanks for your reply

My 72GT is about 6'10 n yes... As Brandon mentioned, it isn't the best casting stick around.

I have two of the gt72s and both are 7 foot 1 but mine are custom models and have no problem getting serious distance
Even with lighter lures but i grew up casting 5 foot 6 rods. I semi pendulum cast my lures or do massive load up of my rod and crack it out there best advice I can give is cast it like its your mates rod and give it plenty just don't get a wind knot it will want to jump out of your hands:-)

I agree, they aren't ideal casting rods but being a slow, parabolic action this will aid in casting if you have good technique and a little power.

The 74 model is also another option

Hi Mike

What lure and best casting weight you use?

Hi Ricky I'm using the smaller Big Mouth 150 HP tail or Big Mouth 200. The rod loads up pretty nicely with these plugs.
