G'day folks
What breaking strain leader would you guys recomend on for PE5 gear and PE8+ gear. I am trying to determine if size 12 running guides would be too small

Rohit, the leader size you need is dependent on the terrain you are fishing. In Australia, we tend to fish some pretty ugly areas. For a twisted leader, I'd use 100-130lb and for a single strand, around 170- 200lb. That is for PE8. If PE10, I may go heavier. I don;t use PE5 for popping so I can't tell you on that one.
If it swims; I want to catch it!

Line PE #8 or more double attached to 1m or so of 200 lb mono.
This is then crimped to leader on lure.
Lures are made up ready so can be cut off and new one crimped on quickly.
Lure leader materialis 400lb.
Pic shows leader lure connection.
This could be used in lower pound leader materials to suit your fishing.

Thanks for the info  Steve, thats really helpful. Do you only wind the 200lb section through the guides

Yes only 200lb needs to come through guides.
