Glanville:- with the start of a new week and fresh arms to stretch we headed out in search of some Gts, whilst I was busy rigging the gear one of the guys put out a cast and it was on for young and old before we knew it there was 3 rods bent over and 1 lost soldier who was too scared to cast into the madness…we fished around the edge of the reef and by the end of the day boated at least 20 Gts, 2 solid coral trout and had a 20kg mackerel almost land in the boat, the guests were that blown away and for a couple of guys who had never caught Gts before they now know what its all about…

Tim : back in the fray after a few weeks not guiding and had a ball today. The wind was a bit of an issue for the guys but they still managed to land a fair few Gts between themselves, with the biggest one just shy of 40kgs. After a few fish on the troll we decided to head into more sheltered waters and cast light gear as well as Gt gear in the shallows and got some really good fish for the session, including some good trout and a couple of gts amongst the usual suspects like the red bass and the blue fin trevs. All too soon and we had to head back – amazing how time flies when there are fish biting!!!!

Saltaire-Today was dandy. We burnt out to the reef and started with some light tackle trolling. We had fairly consistent action with bites every few minutes. We caught the usual suspects of mackerel, gts, and reefies. One standout capture was a huge coral trout of about 20kgs. We then started to have a bit of a cast for gts. We saw a heap but keeping the hooks in them was a bit of an issue. We started trolling baits for the last few hours of the day but no bite unfortunately.
