Biggest Kingie Yet From The Coast
July 04, 2011, 07:27:20 AM
With the weather looking magic I shot out two Thursdays ago with Stu and Richo, the plan was to check out some new marks for some kings and AJs, things were a bit quite in the morning but picked up slightly in the arvo.

A few whales about with this one jumping only 20m from the boat.

With no kings or AJs to be seen this little Jew decide to have a nibble on my plastic.

After we had laughed about the size of my Jew the other boys thought is was time to get on the board, next thing you know we found a couple of green backs likes this.

Richo with his solid 14kg kingie.

Stu was mucking around with his that was hooked before Richo's for some reason, as it neared the boat we saw why.

Stu with his 24kg kingie, the biggest we have seen in person from the coast here.

Cheers Coxy

Hi Derek

The jig is a zest spearhead which I picked up in New Zealand, looks similar to a few of the Japanese style but half or even less of the price, here is a link with some better pictures of them http://www.fishing.net.nz/asp_forums/new-zest-spearhead-jig_topic64131.html

Nice Pics Coxy,

Whale shot is a ripper.

Favourable cool water for Kings,Snapper etc this year.....not surprised there are some big kings around.

You boys have been having your arms stretched lately. 8)

Some good pics there, the whale is a cracker.

The 14, was that a similar length to the 24? It looks very long and skinny.

The pictures have come out horrible for some reason when they have been uploaded to photobucket, not sure why but just recently it has started to happen, it is a Canon EOS 7D.

Pete, I can never have my arms stretched to much, I better upload a couple of other reports you may or may not have seen from May  ;D

I was going to ask you to be my field tester but then I would have nothing to do  ;)

Wait until you see the Jigging Master Shore Game rods on the stones this season, you will be the only one without one and wonder why we are casting into the next postcode and you are not, also have my own range of 85 gram metals for the new season, slightly longer and thinner and they flutter like mad with a longer lasting chrome finish that doesn't rust like the rest.

Just picked up a fishing mag from the local and guess who was on the cover, nice shirt and hat you have on will read it shortly.

Cheers Coxy

Yep it looks like photobucket has done some compression, originals must be sweet.

What lense?
