Yes,  that is a big eye!!
Paul caught it on topwater, a month ago we had one on the jig weighted 170lb fought like a 300lb

If you don't mind me asking, are many fish released or do they fight themselves to the point of not being able to swim away?

Hi Tom,
All fishes released on the jigs has a higher survival rate, in most cases we drag them on the side of the boat to revive them.
the draw back is the stickbait with treble hooks on the tail and the belly, in the last days i requested to use single hook on the back so we lower the damage and now i am even considering having one single hook on the lure, i will give it a try and let you know,
from my experience I've noticed that the damage is done when we have a new anglers on board and the reason is that they don't have the eye and the reflex to set the hook on the strike, resulting of swallowed lure.
we do our best to assure a proper release!!

Hi Mark,
1 Bluefin tuna per day below 72 inches for the boat and the boat can still claim a trophy over 73 inches per year
3 yellowfin tuna per angler
Big eye has no limitation but they are hard to catch and locate, they normally show up for a short period and it have to do a lot with being in the right place at the right time 
regulations can change within 48 hours notice

The rod is under testing and i doubt to see it hitting the market this year.

SD5310XX sounds like it will be a real beast.

I think I will stick to SB556MS and SB516SS - jigging rods for normal mortals   .
