Re: Any recomendations in Smith Popping rods?

I think a Carpenter LGM SP78 UXH is going to be unbelievably difficult to find because it doesn't exist! Are you referring to a UHL or EXH?

The Ripple Final Spirit 78XH will handle the I Cup as will the Carpenter SP78UHL. They're both designed for giant cup mouthed poppers. I would suggest to you that Ripple has a slightly more progressive action than the UHL which has a fast action. They're both brutes on your back. If you get one, I hope you have a good chiropractor and physio!

UHL Brandon, sorry for mystake  :P :-\
I will be happy to find one in new/as new conditions...
I know what you said refferring to stiffness of similar rods... Pe 12 rods will be my rods for short session, when an I cup or similar monster poppers are requests. My point of view is that sach rods are for monster popper, not necessary for monster fish... I haven't plan to find monster GT in shall water, not now... For this target I need 2 or 3 years of gym... But whit a bit of tecnich, I think to be able to cast and work 250 gr poppers for 1 or 2 h...
