This year big event is now over. 8 days jigging and popping in Pedasi Panama. I had a great time in Panama, god fishing, friendly and great captains, great food and really nice accommodation.
Mine goals for the trip was to catch rooster, cubera and tuna. I made 2 out of 3, the rooster seemed to swim away from my lures. But that gives me an excuse to come back. But others caught rooster, the biggest was around 60lb. The cubera was not easy, but I did catch one (approx. 40lb) the final day on popper with my light tackle as I was fishing for jacks. Jonas caught one the first day on popper, otherwise we got one on livebait (approx 60lb).
The sixth day the tuna finally arrived in numbers together with the dolphins. I think we (9 fishermen) caught around 40 tuna this day, the biggest was caught by Patrik around 100lb. The second biggest fish was a broomtail grouper at 80lb.
Lots of different species where caught: cubera, rooster, blacktip shark, YFT, jack cravelle, horse eye jack, pompano, bonito, sierra mackrel, rainbow runner, snapper, broomtail grouper, bluefin trevally, mahi mahi, triggerfish ++
Enjoy the pictures.
