Coral Sea total bans on fishing

Am I right in thinking that the Super Trawler will be fishing in the Coral Sea.

If so then the exclusion zone is to apply to recreation anglers only.

It's all very well to say that it will be fishing for small pelagic fish only, since when has a trawler decided on what fish it will catch.

By it's definition it will trawl up anything and everthing in it's path.

Don't worry folks by the time it's no longer viaable to fish the Coral Sea there won't be any fish left for the recreational angler to catch.

Hey Doug: The super trawler and the Coral Sea closures are different issues; all commercial fishing would be banned from the Coral Sea areas that are designated for rec fishing closures, under the current draft plan. The super trawler is being allowed to fish unrelated southern waters, based out of Tasmania.
