i have seen quite a few fish released with trebles embedded in their jaw. with respect to the fish that i catch i now use only singles.

healthy fish are better than dead fish in my opinion.  :'(

Use barbless trebles and the fish will dislodge them without too much of an effort , have recovered a few lures this way upon being busted by good fish .

trebles were crushed before use but sometimes they can get so embedded they are impossible to get out.

Jay, just out of interest, what 'lb' is the leader and what size is the aluminium crimp sleeve, I'm just playing with some twisted leader and bite leader combo's. Trust your leader rig has not slipped yet?

Thanks
