Went for a quick fish on Saturday morning, zero whiting. Didn't even see one so can't really blame the poppers. 2 half hearted gar hits, a 60mm cod strike and a few toad follows...Oh well I guess its back to GT's.

I had a 'zip' trip on Sunday, different location and tide [near top rather than near bottom  :-\] so more homework needed.

Hey Bunny!

Did Rodney eat them or try & turn them into swim baits!!!! Say g'day to him for me will ya??

Nice work for your first outing!

I've found the bottom of the tide as it turns & really floods a yabbie flat works well, though if anything the flathead can be a problem!
This is just on the work I have done down the 'Pin for them.

The pink Maria Plop n Skip knocks them off, though I keep some ole Rebel Pop'Rs and Lucky Craft poppers of various types in the kit.
There is a real love of clear pinks and translucents. I reckon they think its a jelly prawn skipping along.

Aaron.

Hi Papa, Rodney was wrapped to take home a feed instead of just T&R, he said the big one came out at 450g. I found him the following week at Hervey Norman checking out a 'Bigger' Plasma, as Dingles had put up the pics on his local WIN Fishing report I recon he want'd to see himself on a BIG screen
I'll pass on a 'hello' from you ;D

Did another quick trip around CQ, just walked the local beaches.
I can now identify the largest whiting desert on the east coast...in front of my place.

Score for the morning was 1 half hearted gar and a good follow from a 4 kg Jack, it showed some interest for 4 or 5 metres in really shallow water then veered away at the last minute. (Jack Russell I meant to say...bloody dogs on beaches)
