Any good charter operators heading that way...have been out on ambition but havent heard if they are getting them at the moment to try and tee up a ride out. Keen to test some gear out now that Im back in sydney....

Allie Hunter got x2 Yellowfin to 60kg yesterday and saw schooling fish.

I'll likely be heading Kiama south in an Edgewater 21ft CC.

Chris Cleavers new boat ??

No, but close. I fished Cleaver's boat at Dave Irvine Snapper comp weekend gone by.

The Edgewater on the weekend belongs to another friend of mine who happens to be the importer.

Cleaver may come out with us depending on weather conditions.

Riley is from BRP Evinrude.

Josh Batterson aka Skeeter Boats is also importing EdgeWater boats with Chris Turner. The 21 ft EW belongs to Chris Turner.

neil rowlands of highlander (charter boat operater out of orient point) got a sbt 111kg solo effort last weekend and another boat on the drum canyons whilst chasing blue eye had a school blow up alongside them, they threw out a livie and got one about 50 odd kgs and then tossed a lure out on threadline reel (unsure what type or size of reel) and got spooled. a few other boats also saw some action so there might be a few about, enough reports to start having a go.

Got a mile out to the shelf and had to turn back. Report predicted 15+ but in actual fact it was 30, with occasional 40+ gusts.

I heard of multiple fish caught Sunday south of Sydney. Hopefully this weekend will be more kind.

Last Saturday my trip was called off also due to 30 knot winds.
Hopefully next month will be a lot kinder.

Wow that is so exciting to hear - Big Fins, awesome.

I have been popping the rats again over the last 2 weeks here in Brisbane, 4kg is a big one but still a heap of fun - and very nice eating for the odd one that inhales the entire popper and cant be released.

Please keep us updated on those big ones - would love to know you boys are getting onto them amy get a shot up here is they come in closer .........

Have Fun !

Drove down to Merimbula on Saturday and fished Sunday off Eden and Green Cape.

Unfortunately, a big phat warm water eddy corrupted all the Bluefin water, although, scattered small patches of fish still remain. Unfortunately, we just couldn't find any!

Some perfect Yellowfin water, low and behold, they get caught Monday up to 65kg.

Again...the Poppers and Stickbaits didn't find a surface bust-up.....frustratingly...but I have a good feeling that this is simply a precursor to something massive. GIANT.

Stay tuned over the next month - we are ready to rock when they come back!

Yeah we hit Bermigui Sunday and Monday. Sunday was not fishable, couldn't get out wide, had to turn back after 8 miles.

Monday was a glorious day weather wise but no fish to be had. A boat not that far from us saw a school of 50kg YFT bust up chasing some sauries but they disappeared quick. Reports of YFT being taken off Batemans Bay to the north of us, and out way wide by longliners, who only managed one SBT on Monday but plenty of YFT.

There was a report that a boat off Bermi managed a 25kg YFT Monday.

We jigged up some small Albacore but got nothing else.
