Hi All,

I am on a biz trip and in the US (New York and Philly areas).

Can someone recommend me some tackleshops (online or physical) where I can get the Stella SW reels with good prices?

I will be there for a week and looking at the following reels for my trips in April and July:
1. Stella SW10000
2. Stella SW18000
3. Stella SW8000PG

thanks,

Luke Seyrek

Saltywater would be the place to go.  Sami is really helpful and great to deal with from previous experience.  Another shop in that area is tackle direct but again I would go see Sami first.

Is it really worth it? A local Perth/WA shop is selling the 10000SW for $850, thats a good special and has warranty etc.

Hi all,
I was just wondering what happened to the classifieds in this forum?

I saw someone selling a brand new Stella SW10000 for USD750 and thought of buying from him but cant now as couldnt find the classifieds section

I think the stella will cost more with shipping from AU

thanks

Bit of an own goal, but the board administrators have made it so you can't even see the classifieds until you have spammed us with 20 posts.

Means we get a  lot of questions like this now.

Check out ebay.  Depending on where you live shipping costs could be high or low. Saw a few reels on there with a buy it now price or best offer.

I have bought several reels from "reelseller" on eBay. He is great to deal with and delivers fast. If you message him you can purchase all items outside of eBay but still use paypal for extra savings(2-5%)

I have used FishArc which is a ebay seller, for all my stella's he has great prices and good service. Just google him.

Failing that i would recommend trying saltywater tackle, JDMtackle or JignPop.

I got one of my Stellas through Fisharc and got great service. Since then though I've used Minstor tackle. Very good prices but also you saved a bundle on postage compared to US sellers.

Would prefer to buy local but I can save over 400 dollars going through Minstor tackle on a Stella.

Most of the reels that are sold as "new" do come with a factory warranty.  However some don't.  If that is a factor or concern be sure to ask.  If their is big dollar differences between e bay sellers and local shops.  I obviously will go for the best price.  If they are only a few dollars difference,  I tend to stay with the local shop.  A lot of the gear has minimal mark up, and I like to support the good and hard working guys.  Hopefully they will acknowledge your loyaly and patronage.  ..........Lee Margrave

Hi all,
thanks for all the replies and suggestions.

I will have to try to see what I can get in US as I will be there only for 3 days...

factory warranty doesnt really matter to me as I only fished 1-2 times a year with these gears due to work committment. The 1-year  warranty might be over when I really use the reels.

I have 2+ years old Saltigas that were only used once but I wanted to switch fully to stellas for now.. its always the switching between saltigas and stellas..

I guess that it is therapeutic to buy tackles when there's no time for fishing =)

thanks to all and this is a great forum cheers
