hello guys,
my friend known this problem with this rod (tokara 60) after a 3 weeks session of fishing in NC.
I think the assumption from Greg is probably true : after few days of many differential temperatures (between night and day), the female ferrule seams to get SMALLER while the male ferrule get LARGER !!!
and we try many time, with pad, with oil, after refreshing the rod, etc.... without result.
finally we decide to try again the following day , two persons pulling on each end and ...."eureka, it's working"
I think, specially for this rod, the best protection its to dis-assemble rod sections everyday , as Greg advise
And maybe report this problem to Mr Smith
Personnaly, I use Fisherman rod (GT game TRS) and not problem to pull it apart after many days
p.s1 : I've already known this problem a few years ago whith a pike rod (daiwa shogun) and i solve it with...... a saw
p.s2 : excuse my approximative English writing, I'm only a Frenchy........
Thierry.
