Lures like Adhek will be much, much cheaper in their country of origin, as are the Japanese lures. It's not a matter of being "looked after" (other than prototypes for testing, I don't ever remember receiving a free lure from any manufacturer which is the way it should be), rather the prices are just naturally much lower.
Also, in Indonesia, you will find some imported lures at very good prices sometimes. For example, I was not the only member of this forum who took advantage of the very cheap Patriot Design Mastered Bomb 155s (about $65) that were recently available from a tackle store in Denpasar.
Also, of course, there are high quality Australian-made lures such as Full Scale and ASWB which should be naturally cheaper in Australia than overseas.
I have to say, my own buying habits are sometimes driven by availability and not price. I have for example recently bought a bunch of Craftbait and Hammerhead lures from sources that are 20-30% more expensive than ones I have used previously. But the lures I wanted were only available from the higher priced sources. Supply and demand
