The boyz getting ready at Saltywater Tackle

Packing the Saltywater Tackle bus.

Leaving NY

We arrived late in the evening and picked up our keys for another house and arrived to a huge three storey palace with swimming pool and Jacuzzi!! If we were not going to fish because of weather we were certainly going to be comfortable! The guys got to setting up their tackle and only at about 02.30am did we get to sleep for a very short time till we had to wake up at 05.00am to head down to the marina to meet up at the Tuna Duck. So a very tired crew arrived the first morning, but as soon as everyone saw the boat and got onboard our spirits were lifted and everyone was very excited!

Packing the tackle into the fishing bus at the house

Team picture with Chris and myself

Great long shot of the fish.

We got a good few pictures and with fish and we had to start heading back to the Marina as it was late in the day. We had traveled up north so Dan made the decision to come into to Oregon Inlet and leave the boat there and run out of Oregon for the next days fishing which would be after the bad weather.

On the way back to the marina Mike cleaned the tuna and was very interesting to see Mike at work and he really knows how to look after the tuna to make sure we had the best tuna for dinner for the next few days!

Mike taking care of the tuna. Very interesting to watch.

Coming into Oregon at sunset

We got back to the Marina sorted out the boat and we were not going to fish the following day due to weather so put all the gear away and headed for our Palace. At the house Sami, Chris and Mati put together an awesome meal of tuna, salad and pasta. A good meal at the end of a long day with a few beers, nothing like it!! Almost as good as catching a fish!

Today we were blown out with bad weather so a good day spent around the house talking fishing and getting to now all the guys. Really great to have a diverse bunch of fisherman. Good lunch of tuna and looking forward to getting back on the water hopefully on Thursday and Friday.

Very nice report there Nick.
It seems a Pink stickbait is the colour for the Bluefin over there. And had a laugh with a mate on reading this as he said sami is just like you (hairy back) i get called carpet back by my mates as i have a hairy back to. I say its a sign of strenght just look at samson (any man of extraordinary physical strength).
Cheers,
Rob
