Hi all I'm looking for a new rod to match up my Catalina 2012 6500H, I'm using pe8 with 120-150lb leaders attached via PR knot and throwing poppers mainly chuggers between 120grms-200grms and occasional stickbaits and pencil poppers of 90grms-150grms.
I do more popping than stick baiting i only do that after long sessions on the poppers when I'm tired. i fish off North Stradbroke.
I'm currently using a Daiwa demonblood 802XH and am finding the guides are useless even tho its rated for pe8 it casts terribly and the reel is positioned way to close to the end of the but to achieve massive casts.
I'm looking to spend around the $400 mark new or used. any help is muchly appreciated thanks!
