David, I've seen a shoe that is very similar in one of the stores down on Kent Street. I'm not sure what it is but will check it out next time I am down that way

These look great, with a Vibram sole. But expensive and unavailable outside of Italy.

I wore the Columbia Hydratooth for a long time without issue, but like Trevor said they get stinky.  LUckily you can throw them in the washing machine and they come out brand new.

I recently bought the Columbia Liquifly, they are SUPER grippy and I've even worn them to hike in the rain without any slipping issues on smooth rocks.
