Rod repairs - Sydney
September 30, 2008, 09:02:52 PM
If anyone is looking to get some rod repairs or general rod work done, I can strongly recommendly Wahyu at Global Tackle at 479 Anzac Parade in Kingsford. He repaired three rods for me recently - a SP78UHL with a crumpled stripper, a Komodo Dragon with the same problem as the SP78UHL and a Miller rod which needed a new tip and a few guides moved. His work is exemplary. I asked for triple binding on the popping rods. he had to replace the under-binding on the Komodo Dragon and I can't tell that it has been repaired, it is that good a job.

His prices are also very reasonable.
If it swims; I want to catch it!

Hi Crazy Pete - haven't seen you around for ages. Everything ok?
The Komodo Dragon had that poor stripper guide bent over some seven times. It needed a change.

Hi Brandon,

All is well my friend, thanks for asking. I have been fishing more than typing (lucky me) so I havent been overly active on these forums of late.

I still browse over them so I know how well everybody is and how the fishing scene is going in general - good all things considered.

Good to hear the KD is better now.
