Recent Whitsunday GT captures!

Cy and Kerrin Taylor:
Thanks for the replies!

Yeah Pete, it's great to have the islands so close! Sorry for making you jelous!  8)

There has been a few bigger fish that we've lost recently too - hopefully the bigger outfits will stop them!

Casting from the rocks can be productive around the islands too although they can be very challenging to land in some areas.

A big GT of over 35kg struck our popper recently while casting from a rock and we hooked it well. It was only connected for about 20 seconds though as it broke the braid after heading over a reef drop off into deep water - nothing we could do!

Nathan Cefai:
Boys well done,a big difference in fighting those barra haha well done once again Gents!!

Cy and Kerrin Taylor:
Thanks Nathan,

Yes, the GT are much stronger than barra! They must be one of the strongest fish in the saltwater!

It would be cool if GT could jump - that would be amazing fun hooking a leaping 40kg GT! Ha ha!

that is the disturbing norm when it comes to my GT efforts in the Whitsundays! Some serious GTs in the area

Very hard to stop when fishing off the rocks though.

Great work there C&K, thanks for sharing.

Cheers
Angus
