popping/jigging gloves - preferences
Brandon Khoo:
I much prefer the shorter style gloves for popping and jigging although it appears to me that the longer style gloves (which wrap around the wrist) are more popular wiht anglers. I find that the longer gloves are a little more stable and hence provide a better grip but on the other hand, I find them a real pain to put on and take off.
Glove always get drenched when you're fishing and I don't find it pleasant wearing a wet glove so I tend to take the off at every opportunity. I always carry a few pairs but they all end up wet anyway.
My favourite gloves are the Shout gloves. they're light and comfortable and remind me of my golf glove! ;D.
I was wondering what gloves people preferred and why.
Greg Burt:
I actually asked cam about his Smith Camo's on Sunday as I had tried some at JT on Saturday, as I have only the Bluefever [2 x 3/4 and 3 x 1/2 finger] part timers. Never liked wearing gloves but I see the necessity.
Whats classed the shorter or longer, is the pic short or long.
This topic is perfect timing for me once again. ??? :-\
Greg Burt:
Bingo!, I presume these gloves are the long wrist version, I had only seen the short wrist before.
Brandon Khoo:
damn it, i can't view the photos. Something about my system
Neil Griffiths:
Sorry to bring this brand up Brandon but I reckon Mr. Suzuki makes the best.
Smith and Shout are both good after Fisherman.
