Thanks all to the well wishers, certainly surprised me when I saw the flash of red in the water thinking I had a 10-12kg Kingi on, Mark nearly fell out of his chair
. Things got back to normal today with a few Kingies with one about 17kg and loosing one to the reef of mid 20kg size, took a Gamma with it too
.
Last day tomorrow [of four] of Pete and my 'Extreme' experience, luck with top weather and a variety of fish, a 'Monster Class' Couta, Mako Shark, Kawahi [Aust Salmon], Snapper and few Kingies, trip report next week from Pete
.
Rob, I allway's have the rear hook point up.
Bun
Brandon,
PE 3 or 4 would be more advisable.....I have been getting dusted on 20lb.
Problem is they bust you on the leader and if you go to heavy you wont get the hits.
In the shallow 5m stuff it is hard to get their head up.....They can really pull.
Buns one gave him a bit of curry on the heavy kingy gear.!
Best of luck next week.
