Personally I'd prefer-

Two ST66 3/O or a single ST66 4/O at the tail.

Or two Gamakatsu 22A 4/O

No hard and fast rule to correct hook size but it helps if you try casting your plugs after putting on a new hook configuration on them. Like what was mentioned above, your hook must be big enough to ensure good hook up but it must never affect the plugs intended action or make it tumble when casting. I'm very particular about casting distance and a tumbling plug will never give good distance.
