Bugatti Reef Lagoon Explorer 7 Apr 2011

Peter: Today we were woken up yet again to the whistling sound of wind. We started off on the search for a gt first thing in the morning with the remainder of the run in tide. The conditions at the spots that we were originally planning to fish were just simply unfishable. So we decided to look in some blue holes we hooked 1 and managed to see a few more. The day was slow on the GTs although the light tackle fishing was ok, catching tuna and reef species. Let's hope for better weather tomorrow.

Nick: Blown away again today, made things tough once again. It has almost seemed like normal weather to us as its been blowing like this for the entire trip. We tried fishing some of the outside ledges today but it was definitely over ambitious of me but none the less we tried. Forcing us into blue holes we managed to start seening some fish which was great but unfortunately couldn't keep the hooks in them for very long. With a few packs coming up during the day and having a go we still couldn't convert them. We managed to get one fish onboard and we must have hooked about another 5 or so. Another wet and windy day....are we really at bugatti I better check our latitude again!
