Smith WRC Rocket
May 02, 2011, 09:20:38 PM
Received my Smith WRC Rocket about a month ago and used it in Northern Mozambique.  Absolute pleasure  easily pops 200g + poppers with very little fatigue.

Also purchased a Smith WRC 80P fantastic medium light rod.

Hi Craig,

In relation to popper weight -> what do you consider the optimal weight for casting using your new WRC Rocket?

Best,
Dan

Other users who have tried the WRC 77 HIIB Rocket? If so, please give some brief info in relation to your personal experience/impression, including optimal lure weight, range of lure weights, fatigue etc.

The heavest lures I used was a Cubera 180, Craftbait 190, Full Scale 180, Fisherman 180.  They casted easy and popped easy with no fatigue.  I am sue even heavier lures will be no problem.

Hi Craig,

Good to hear! There are hardly no information available from users of his rod, so your opinion is most welcome! For how many days did you use the rod?

Mads also has a question in relation to your trip to Northern Mozambique.  If you have the time I know he would appreciate some feedback.

Ahsante sana!

Dan
