Opinions - Jigwrex Vs Blue Rose
Luke Bishop:
As mentioned, both similiar rods. The bluerose is a better rod, but when you look at the price, its double of what the jigwrex is. Personally if your willing to spend the money for the bluerose, id recommend you look into the jigging master or smith range, much better rods in every aspect. otherwise, the jigwrex is still a great rod for its price.
Chris Webster:
Also Ben, which Blue Rose are you talking about?
If it is the .Full Gene 60 MD. then that it is a brutal rod.... absolute broomstick.

Ben Rivers:
Guys, thanks for the replies.
I will be pairing it with my 08 Stella 20000 SW.
I was thinking the Full Gene - Blue Rose.
Will be used for jigging; Amber Jack, Kings etc.
200-300g Jigs.
Thanks Ben

Hi Ben,
I think the Blue Rose Full Gene 60MD is way too heave for 200g - 300g jigs. Would be a great combo for 400g - 600g jigs as a got to rod when the hoodlums are on the chew.
Where is it that you will be targeting these AJ's and Kings? This may assist us in a recommendation.
Cheers,
Chris
Matt Kilpatrick:
Hi Ben,
I have been using a Smith 55 Nirai for the last 3 years, am very happy with it and would recommend that you consider it. It will match your Stella 20000, get jigs 200 g to 300 g to move correctly and have plenty in reserve for larger jigs to 500 g, and is very forgiving on the angler. I find it doubles suitably as a PE 6 and PE 8 stick.
Matt
