Stella 10 000 SW

My reel feels a bight tight when reeling compared to my other Stella's.

What do you think the problem could be?

Hi Craig,

Don't mean to state the obvious here mate but are your other Stella's high speed models?
If your comparing the 10000SW to the 20000SW it will be harder to turn the handle.

Hi Chris.

I have a 5000, two x 10000's, 18000 and a 20000 which all feel equally smooth - except now for one of the 10000's which is a little tight.

I have had feedback that it could be the friction ring.

How long since you had the reel serviced?  It pays to have them done every 12 months by somone who knows what they are doing......that may well be yourself!

I purchased the reel in March 2011 and it has only been used on one trip in April 2011 for a week.

Bro I've got a mate who could service it for you super quickly... he's a genius with reels, and the only person I trust wioth my reels... you know what its like dealing with Shimmy here, they never have parts and won't order parts for you, you have to wait for them to add it to their twice yearly order....

That being said they can turn the service around fairly quickly... but my mate owns and fishes Stellas, and knows them inside out... shout if you want me to hook you up...

Thanks Andre I will get the details from you when I need to send reels in for service.

I have no time now so going to fish the reel as is - its not too bad spins pretty freely without load and is only slightly tight under load.
