Ripple 5210 & 5215

(1/3) > >>

Jaime Chee:
Hi Guys

I am currently in the hunt for jigging rod . Can someone please help me with the drag ratings of the Ripple Fisher 5210 & 5215?

Arnout Weber:
Good evening,

Does anybody have experiance with these rods?

i have at the moment 2 jiggingrods: Shimano blue rose PE6 and a Tenryu giga red denth du chien.
For a next trip i am looking for a heavyer rod for fishing in water around 100m deep.
Are these Ripple fisher 5210 and 5215 ok for that or should i take a 5220?

Best regards,

Arnout.

Brandon Khoo:
Hi Arnout
you wouldn't really be looking at a 5210, more the 5215. I'd be very careful about the 5220. That is an absolute animal of a rod!

Arnout Weber:
Hello Brandon,

You mean that the 5220 is to strong? My idea is to buy a PE 8 rod for jigs around 250 to 350 grams.

Best regards,

Arnout.

Brandon Khoo:
Hi Arnout
The 5220 is an absolute brute of a rod. I can't say it is too strong for you but it is definitely too strong for me!
