That looks like an amazing destination. Anyone want to split the setup costs for a charter service and island lodge? I'm in!

Malcolm ,

Thanks for posting , absolutely an adventure worth doing before we become too weak , excellent write up and please post more photos . I can imagine the logistic nightmare for such a trip but one must go to places such that to experience untapped sportfisheries nowaday . What mammal is that they slaughtered for meal ?

Best regards : Jon .

Absolutely awesome report Malcolm and thank you very much for sharing. It is fantastic to hear about new and remote locations.

It is funny that you mentioned Sumba as those Marquesa cliffs immediately recalled for Sumba for me also. Getting on and off the boat looks downright hairy!

And that big ghost sounds little short of scary, particularly coming from someone like yourself who has seen so many big GTs. There's probably a world record there waiting for someone lucky enough to to get the right breaks.

Goat on the fire, guns, dogs, and huge fish; sounds just AWESOME! The trip sounds and looks like Hawaii 200 years ago. Killer report from the mid-pac! The maniac looking Brazillian dude looks like he would be good fun to fish with.

Fantastic stuff Malcom. Great pictures and a top report. Stuff that dreams are made off. That's what I call true adventure and pioneering spirit. Kudos to Randy for organizing a trip like that.

Fantastic trip! One of those when the impression from the journey itself might be greater than from the fishing. I wish I were there!

Malcolm, excellent report and trip, these types of trips are the ones I like best.

The fishing is just part of the story along with the journey and the company.

And so isolated, no wonder there are still Cretaceous ghosts haunting the cliff ledges, next stop east is the Galapagos islands!!

Congratulations to you and Randy and the rest of the team.
