I might use a single SJ43 11/0 on the tail of the lure, as backups to the Jobu 9/0.

SJ43 11/0 is not a suitable substitute for a Jobu 9/0. It's too small
If it swims; I want to catch it!

Thanks Brandon - I'll think I'll stick with the 41's!

Even with the SJ41s, the 11/0 is too small. i regard the 13/0 as being a bit small still.

What do you recommend Brendon for 'Baker Rigs'?

For better than baker rigs big trebles are highly recommended!

Used 41s as a baker rig on the belly of small lures quite a bit in the past.  These days I steer clear of any hook with that gold finish, it's just not durable and rusts pretty readily.

That gold finish is hideous as it rusts completely! Owner have now replaced it with a matte silver finish. This looks like it will be a bit more rust resistant based on other Owher hooks with the same finish
If it swims; I want to catch it!

Ben,

Use the 41's for the belly hooks on a baker rig, they work well. As for the tail hook use whatever you have Jobu's, SJ41's, SJ43's... Brandon has his own preference and experience. So choose either hook that suits the lure and put it on and go for it...

Ben, you could just save yourself all this and catch more fish by using trebles  ;) .

Totally with Brandon on Owner's awful gold finish - it's a joke. Another reason to prefer Jobus.

Mate (Mark), I usually only use trebles, but an old Nomad guide told me on a recent trip that your get a better more solid hookup with singles - so thought I'd investigate further.

I'm not fussed either way, I'm happy to use whatever works! lol

When you get a hook up with a single it definitely more solid Ben.  However, you will get fewer hook ups than you do with trebles.   Places I fish , there are not enough strikes to throw a significant portion of them away due to using singles  ;).

Also, most (if not all?) designers of GT lures, design them with trebles in mind.  It is very easy to unbalance a lure by fitting hooks that they were not designed to take.
