Rigged Poppers
Doug Terry:
The trouble with hook guards is that they only go up to size 3/0
Mark Harris:
There is no perfect solution to this. Easiest is to carry all lures unrigged and rig as needed - it only takes a few minutes.
Leo Sorbello:
Hi All,
The owner 2L size model ( green coloured caps ) fits 4/0 & 5/0's ST-66's trebles with no problems. The 1.5L size model ( blue coloured caps ) fits 3/0's. This I used myself with the awareness given from a friend of mine recently. The table sizes matrix from some companies are not always completely real.
Regards
Leo
Robin Loi:
I second Mark.
For me, I'd travel with the poppers unrigged stored as nicely as possible together (I arrange them by weight) and the trebles in another separate container where different sizes are packed into triple layered zip-loc bags with the size indication of the external of the zip-loc bags for easy identification and retrieval. It takes about 1-2mins for me to rig them up onto the poppers. Another small container would be to store the rest of the hooks and terminal tackle.
There's really no 'standards' here, just do what you think is the most convenient and works best for you..
Cheers
Rob
