Stella 20000SW spool on 18000SW body (2013 model)
February 26, 2015, 02:07:08 PM
I believe I read somewhere the 2013 Stella 20000SW spool fits on the 2013 18000SW body.  Is this true?  If so, are there any problems with drag performance on the 18000 body?  Looking to get a backup spool for my 18000, and I'm thinking the extra line capacity of the larger spool would be good.  Thanks!

Next question: what's the difference between the Yumeya 20000max and Stella 20000SW factory spare spool?  I was told Yumeya is made by Shimano.....  which should I get?
Thanks!   :o

Dan,

Yumeya is the optional accessory brand for Shimano.

The 20000 max spool holds about 50 metres more PE8 than the normal spool if I remember rightly.

I also remember talk there being a slight reduction in available drag (I think caused by the greater diameter of the spool) but am sure it makes little difference in terms of usability.

Yes as Trevor said, 2013 Yumeya 20000max has a max drag rating of 15kg. Fits 400m of PE8.
