what were the predominant bait species around? which lures and colours will you take next time?

I especially like the colour on the first GT of Edwins.

Sounds like some good doggie action too.

Sounds like some good doggie action too.

We didn't see any baitfish close enough to identify them - just the occasional "shower" out towards the reef edge - and they seemed to be being chased by garfish, the latter probably being on the GT menu.

Color really didn't seem to be that much of a factor, though Marg's red head cubera 150gm got absolutely battered. I was using cubera 180gm and had hits on blue back, purple back and red back, also had hits from bigger fish on pink ebipop 200gm. I'd take the same selection aqain - but more than one ebipop!
