GoPro HD Hero2 Outdoor Edition Camcorder
March 02, 2012, 11:18:44 PM
Hi Guys :)
The last trip on Nomad the action was thick and fast and no time to pick up a camera never mind  trying to take a video so we did not end up  with any action video. So i have been pondering on the idea of getting a GoPro HD Camcorder for this years trip .
Has any one used it, they seem to have a lot of good reviews.

Stephen - Get it for sure mate... cannot recommend them highly enough... but to do it justice you need to take the time out to edit the footage, otherwise you end up never viewing or seeing it again... editing is an art , and when done well, makes for incredible viewing....

GoPro's are insanely good value, and the new ones are even better than the first, they are mind blowing in fact....

I'd advise getting the Underwater Corrective Lens if you using it for fishing as an extra, and get a pole mount fixture so you can attach it to a boat hook for underwater stuff....

Hi Stephen,

We have been using the GoPros for ages and take them on every trip.  You can see some footage by going to

All of this is shot using the GoPro.

There are a heap of additional accessories, including an extendable pole that is great when you want to stick the camera underwater to get fish swimming footage.

Definitely get one - you won't regret it.

Cheers,

Janelle
