I like your GT'S in the first photo Luke and you making a cast with the rod loaded up.

the big GT in the middle,  what did you estimate it's weight at?

it would have to be easily 40kg plus wouldn't it?

what popper did you get that one on?

I am just wondering,    the Craftbait GT3 GT colour,  that is not the one in the top and bottom photo isn't it or is it?

Yes it is Sam. That's the reason why it is in the frame.

Cool set up Luke, I threatened to do the same, my wife then threatened to leave me if I put it in our house...at the moment she has the upper hand as I have not landed a GT worthy of the tribute, but once I do it will be interesting  ;D

Hi Luke sorry i am not in any way trying to make this complicated at all.

can i ask you,

in regard's to using 2 single hook's vs 2 treble's, a stupid and dumb question from a newbie such as myself,  when using treble's and when you get a hit do you do the same thing you would do when using 2 single    single hook's as oppose to when using 2 treble hook's when you get a strike to set the hook?

or is this something which just come's with experience?

thanks. :)

Hi Sam,

It's not an easy thing to explain, and yes, timing of strikes and force can come with experience. Rigging styles vary - attaching singles via image shown, assists, swivels and combination of treble/baker/single etc....

Conversion rates can be lower than trebles but this can also vary with behavior of the fish. Retention rates are usually much higher and ideal for BIG GT.
