Re: Short mono leader?

Hi,
Thanks for all the feedback. I've tried 12ft of leader made from 200lb braid to the 130lb mainline and a short piece of 3ft of mono 250lb leader joined to the  200lb braid using a short bimini loop on the braid and ring on both side of the mono. The braid leader to the mainline using  a 4 turns uni on the 200lb and 6 turns on the 130lb. Quite satisfied casting wise and landed a few small fish.

Hi Jon,

What knot do you use to connect shock leader to bit leader?

Thanks

Hi Marcus ,

Nothing fancy , both ends looped with crimps , splitring to the eyelet of the lure and any proven knot from the mono leader to the other loop . The heavy bite leader stays outside the rod's tip guide . Works well in Rompin when targetting sailfish n anywhere else I fish , be it GT or Tuna .
