Ricky, are you in kasey Leong's group?
On the topic of lighter tackle, it really comes down to what you want to fish for. if you want to jig light jigs, then a light jigging outfit is the go. if you like light casting, then I think a light spinning outfit is the go.

Congrat to you all!
Amazing stuff guys, that's what everyone dreams off!!
Can't wait to fish there again, Lessssssss than 3weeks wooohoooooo!!!!!!!
Like to ask Malcom, what outfit you use to catch the smallest fish of the trip???? ;D ;D
Actually like to ask what's the best allround light outfit to use in between the heavy lifting?

Ricky
If it swims; I want to catch it!

Ewan, for stickbaits, we used a combination of Carpenter Coral Viper CV-79 RF40, Blue Lagoon TBL711 RF35, Ripple Fisher Ultimo UG83MH and Ultimo UG82H. For the biggest stickbait I had which was pushing 300g with hooks, this was beyond the capaicty of even the heaviest Ripple stickbait rod so I had to use a heavy popping rod.

Wowzers what a trip! Amazing captures Brandon, congrat's to you, Dom and Malcom. Great Stuff.

What sorts of rods have you been using, specially for the larger stickbaits?

I thought the 65kg had broken the LPB Record!

What is the current LPB record?

Hi Brandon, thanks for the suggestion. Yes yes! 21st-28th these month with kasey L.
I fished with Malcom back in Perth on Al Bevan's boat. He's such a humble guy. Good fisherman, but that GT is just WOW! And on lighter gear too, talk about making it a challenge;)
Like to fish with you one day, maybe on one of your organized trip. I heard only of good things.
Thanks for your report, Always a good read and sure has pumped me up for mine trip

Brilliant Andre! Thanks so much. High 60s?

When I think how much I have been pulled around by 40-50 kg GTs, the prospect of a fish that large is as terrifying as it is exciting :)

It's right, Denis = PE20

The picture on Hammerhead web site is effectively the LPB record.
