G'day Tak

I see the website production schedule has these two new lures listed. Do you have pics and/or specs of these yet?

Hi Carl,

Both Blue Eel and Lively Sardines are not really new models but they will be reproduced in the near future.

Blue Eel is tiny 130mm/30g surface pencil looks like baby Kattobi and it imitates sardine escaping on the surface.

Lively Sardine is the lure designed for casting game on boil or bait ball near surface and will be effective for Tuna. They will be available from 20g to 65g. (there is 105g model nut it won't be on production this time.)

I'll look for some picture.

(sorry Carl, subject Blue Eel and Lively Sardine has disappeared when I merge topic..... )

Cheers,
Tak

Hi James,

Probably not. At least it is not on production list for this year up to Q3 at this stage.

Cheers,
Tak

Which rod is most suitable for light GT popper/stickbait on PE6?

Which rod is most suitable for light GT popper/stickbait on PE6?

Take a look at HL TN87 which once upon a time is also called LR86L , a very capable long casting rod from LGM series capable to handle chugger n stickbait up to 100 gr. ( w.o. armaments ) .

I vote for EP85/36, 392g, PE6-8, max drag 10kg, ideal chugger ~120g, stickbait 140g.

A lot will depend on what you mean by "light" Adrian.

All very much my personal opinion of course: EP85/36 is definitely OK with PE6. EP88/35 perhaps even better but you might find it too long to use comfortably on a boat.

After just using it for the first time I am currently very enamored with Super Popping 76 ML for PE6 work with small chuggers. But it's a very old rod and you will never be able to find one!

Hi Adrian

If casting from a boat and fishing PE6 with the ability to fish PE8 if need be I highly recommend the following

Stickbaits only TBL83/32
Poppers only SP80M
Versatile rod EP82/38 or if you like shorter rod CV79/40

Only have CV79/40 which I run PE8. I was just curious if later on I want something to throw smaller lures 40g-100g on PE6.

Hi Andrew,

It is always possible to get custom rods but price will be really depending on options you choose. Please PM me if you are serious about it.
